Senior Children's Social Worker

Position: Senior Social Worker (BCFT DfE)
Employer: Bradford Children and Families Trust (via Bradford Metropolitan District Council)
Pay Rate: £35 per hour
Location: Bradford (Sir Henry Mitchell House or locality-based)
Working Style: Hybrid (office required for specific duties/team days)

👩‍⚕️ Key Responsibilities

• Safeguarding children, especially those at risk of significant harm
• Risk assessment & management, including complex decision-making
• Taking professional accountability for decisions made
• Delivering frontline social work services, including:
  
  • Assessments
  • Case planning
  • Reviews
• Supporting social care delivery in community settings
• Managing a caseload independently

🧩 Teams You May Work In This role applies to case-holding social workers in:

• Locality Teams (long-term child protection & CIN work)
• IFD (Integrated Front Door) (referrals & initial assessments)
• Leaving Care (supporting care leavers into adulthood)

🏢 Working Environment

• Hybrid setup (mix of office remote)
• Expectation to attend office for:
  
  • Key meetings
  • Team collaboration days
  • Certain case-related duties
