We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Children in Care team, where you will play a key role in supporting some of the most vulnerable children and young people.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Children in Care team, where you will play a key role in supporting some of the most vulnerable children and young people.
About the Role As a Senior Practitioner, you will:
- Manage care proceedings cases from the initial hearing through to conclusion
- Provide expert guidance and support within the team
- Work directly with children, young people, families, and carers
- Undertake assessments, develop care plans, and ensure ongoing support
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with partner agencies, including police, health services, schools, and voluntary organisations
- Champion best practice in safeguarding and child-centred social work
- Minimum 3 yearsā experience in a permanent social work role (essential to meet DfE regulations)
- Proven experience within a Children in Care / Looked After Children team
- Strong knowledge of care proceedings and court work
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-agency environment
- Social Work qualification and registration (UK)
- Right to work in the UK
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Hybrid working model
- Office-based days: Mondays & Tuesdays
- Duty days twice per month
- Office locations: One Avenue Road / Lifford House, Birmingham
- Candidates must live within a commutable distance of Birmingham
