Candidate Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical & Engineering, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing all costs relating to mechanical and engineering projects from inception to completion
• Preparing tender reports, budgets, and cost plans
• Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors
• Conducting risk assessments and value engineering to maximize project profitability
• Managing subcontractor and supplier invoices, ensuring accurate payments and validations
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Collaborating with project managers and engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Providing regular financial updates to stakeholders and senior management

Candidate Requirements

The ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical & Engineering will possess:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, specifically within mechanical and engineering projects
• Strong knowledge of contractual and commercial procedures
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or related field
