About the Role:
As a Service Charge & Rent Manager, you will take a key operational leadership position within the organisation. Your primary focus will be to oversee the entire lifecycle of service charge and rent processes, ensuring they are carried out accurately, transparently, and in full compliance with relevant legislation. You will be instrumental in managing budgets, overseeing billing, and fostering positive resident relations, all while providing strategic oversight to your team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing service charge budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation
- Overseeing billing, rent setting, and charge application
- Ensuring compliance with housing legislation and regulatory standards
- Leading on resident engagement and dispute resolution
- Managing and developing a customer-focused team
- Driving process improvements and system enhancements
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Apply strong knowledge of leasehold, Section 20, and other relevant housing legislation
- Lead and motivate a team to deliver high-performance outcomes
- Manage financial processes related to service charges and rent
- Engage with residents to address concerns and resolve disputes
- Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and compliance
