Service Transition Manager
Contract – 13 Months

Are you an experienced Service Transition Manager with a strong background in ServiceNow platform configuration and cybersecurity workflows? We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the design, development, and implementation of Cyber Incident Response workflows within ServiceNow SIR module. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in transforming cyber security operations through process optimisation, automation, and integration.

About the Role:
As the Service Transition Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of the ServiceNow Service Incident Response (SIR) module enhancement project. Your expertise will ensure seamless workflow design, system configuration, platform enhancement, and effective system integration. You will also facilitate training and knowledge transfer, ensuring the smooth transition of the platform into Business As Usual (BAU).

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Review existing cyber incident workflows and define required improvements within SIR, including incident triage, escalation paths, case lifecycle, evidence management, and CSOC tooling integration.
  • Build, test, and refine ServiceNow workflows in alignment with Cyber Operations requirements, incident management frameworks, and NCSC-aligned processes.
  • Configure and customise SIR platform components such as forms, fields, templates, worknotes, automated routing, severity classification, and response templates.
  • Identify gaps in current capabilities and recommend platform enhancements; collaborate with ServiceNow platform owners to ensure compliance with governance and architecture standards.
  • Support integration of SIR with SIEMs, threat intelligence feeds, SOAR modules, email workflows, and ITSM processes through automation to reduce manual effort and enhance response times.
  • Design and implement operational dashboards, KPIs, and compliance reports to provide visibility of incident trends, response performance, and workflow analytics.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation including user guides, SOPs, technical configurations, data flow diagrams, and integration maps.
  • Deliver hands-on training to Cyber Operations staff and provide detailed support materials for platform support, process owners, and BAU embedding.

Candidate Benefits:

  • Contract length: 13 months
  • Competitive daily/weekly pay rate (to be discussed based on experience)
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge cyber incident response projects
  • Exposure to ServiceNow platform enhancement and security automation
  • Collaborative and supportive project environment
  • Potential for future extension or permanent opportunities depending on project progress
