The Role As a Senior Social Work Assistant, you will:
- Manage an allocated worker caseload under the guidance of Social Workers and Team Managers
- Support the safeguarding and welfare of vulnerable children and young people
- Undertake assessments, gather and analyse information, and maintain accurate case records
- Provide practical day-to-day support to children and families
- Work closely with partner agencies and professionals to achieve the best outcomes
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Contribute positively within a collaborative and supportive team environment
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, policy, and best practice
- Passionate about improving outcomes for children and families
- Organised, resilient, and able to manage competing priorities
- Strong communicators with excellent report writing skills
- Confident working collaboratively with professionals and external agencies
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Keen to continuously develop professionally and contribute positively to team performance
