Qualified Social Worker – Children’s Services
Location: Southend-on-Sea
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £39,152 – £45,091
(Please note: the top end of the salary band will be available following successful completion of the 6 month probation period)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, with a minimum of 2 days per week based in the office

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Social Worker to join their Children’s Services team in Southend on Sea on a permanent basis.

The Role: As a Social Worker, you will deliver professional, comprehensive, and child focused social work practice, managing a caseload of children and young people that is appropriate to your experience and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional and comprehensive casework to children and young people
• Manage a caseload in line with experience, capability, and service requirements
• Complete assessments, care planning, reviews, and statutory visits
• Ensure the highest professional standards are maintained across all areas of practice
• Work in accordance with relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice models
• Produce high quality reports and maintain accurate case records
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, and partner agencies
• Contribute to safeguarding and permanency planning for children and young people

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker (Degree or equivalent)
• Registered with Social Work England
• Good overall knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and social work practice methods
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi?disciplinary team
• Strong organisational and communication skills
