Social Worker (Adults, Care And Support) – Contract (3 months)
Location: Luxstowe House (Liskeard area) with visits across Launceston, Callington & Gunnislake (East Cornwall)
Start date: ASAP | Contract length: 3 months | Hours: Full-time | Positions: 2
Pay rate: £30–£35 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)

If you’re an experienced Social Worker (Adults, Care And Support) who can deliver high-quality statutory assessments and support planning, we want to hear from you. This role covers essential work in the East of Cornwall, including face-to-face visits (minimum 2 days required) and remote report writing.

Candidate Responsibilities
As a Social Worker (Adults, Care And Support), you will be responsible for:

• Completing Mental Capacity assessments with confidence and clear rationale
• Undertaking S42 safeguarding enquiries and producing timely, accurate outcomes
• Developing and reviewing Strengths and Needs assessments and care and support plans
• Carrying out court work where required, ensuring appropriate record-keeping
• Prioritising complex caseloads and meeting set deadlines consistently
• Conducting face-to-face visits across the locality (Launceston–Callington–Gunnislake)
• Producing write-ups and documentation that can be completed remotely

You will need:

• Access to a car for community visits
• The ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
• A professional, smart/casual presentation for visits and meetings
