Social Worker (Adults, Care and Support) – Contract Opportunity
Are you an experienced Social Worker with a passion for supporting adults in need? We are currently recruiting a Social Worker (Adults, Care and Support) on a 3-month contract basis to join a dedicated team based in Camborne. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to make a real difference in people's lives while working within a supportive and dynamic environment.
About the Role
As a Social Worker (Adults, Care and Support), your core responsibilities will include conducting face-to-face and telephone assessments, reviews, and support planning for clients aged 18 and above with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, or older people. This position is based at the Old Magistrates Court in Camborne, and it is essential that the successful candidate is present within the county to complete visits. The role requires a committed individual to deliver high-quality care and support in line with safeguarding protocols and court report requirements.
Key Responsibilities for the Social Worker (Adults, Care and Support):
- Conduct comprehensive assessments via face-to-face meetings and telephone consultations
- Prepare and present court reports as required
- Develop and implement tailored support plans for clients with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, or older adults
- Review cases regularly and update care strategies accordingly
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and best practice standards
- Work collaboratively with external agencies and service users to achieve positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions and assessments
- Attend multi-agency meetings and contribute to safeguarding discussions
Candidate Requirements for the Social Worker (Adults, Care and Support):
- Relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work)
- Working knowledge of safeguarding procedures
- Experience with court report writing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Full UK driver's license (desirable but not essential)
- Flexibility to work full-time Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
