About the Social Worker (BCFT DFE) Role

The Social Worker (BCFT DFE) will be instrumental in delivering high-quality fostering services within Bradford. Your role will involve working closely with children, young people, and their families to promote safety, stability, and long-term well-being. This position is based on a 3-day-per-week in-office requirement, providing a flexible yet collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Social Worker (BCFT DFE) include:

  • Conducting assessments and reviews of fostering cases to ensure compliance with statutory guidelines.
  • Developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Building strong relationships with foster carers, children, and families.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective support.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely case records, reports, and documentation.
  • Participating in team meetings and training to maintain best practice standards.
  • Ensuring all regulatory and safeguarding procedures are adhered to at all times.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal Social Worker (BCFT DFE) candidate will possess:

  • Relevant professional qualification in social work (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England or relevant regulatory body.
  • Proven experience working within fostering services or child safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.

Benefits & Salary

  • Salary range of £38,220 - £46,142 per annum.
  • £3,000 Retention Payment to reward commitment.
