Social Worker (Bcft Dfe) – Contract Position in Bradford

About the Role:

We are currently seeking Social Worker (Bcft Dfe) professionals to support our children and families across the West Locality in Bradford. As a Social Worker (Bcft Dfe), you will be part of a busy Duty and Assessment Team, working alongside dedicated colleagues committed to ensuring children’s safety, stability, and well-being. The role involves supporting children and families using restorative and relational-based practice approaches to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities of a Social Worker (Bcft Dfe):

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine children’s needs
• Supporting children and families through legal proceedings, including Public Proceedings and Pre-Proceedings
• Managing referrals promptly to ensure timely intervention
• Collaborating with multi-agency teams to develop effective care plans
• Working within Child Protection and Child in Need frameworks
• Upholding child-centred practice in all aspects of work
• Maintaining accurate documentation and records
• Demonstrating a proactive approach to risk management and decision-making

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Social Worker in Duty & Assessment or similar settings
• Knowledge of Public Proceedings, Pre-Proceedings, Child Protection, and Child in Need processes
• Ability to work at pace in a busy environment
• Commitment to restorative and relational-based practice approaches
• Valid social work qualification and registration with relevant body (e.g., HCPC)
• Full UK driving license (preferred but not essential)
