About the Role: Social Worker (Bcft Dfe)

As a Social Worker (Bcft Dfe), you will play a vital role supporting children and their families within the South Locality of Bradford. We are seeking experienced practitioners who utilize restorative and relational-based practice approaches to help children thrive. You’ll be responsible for working with children involved in Child in Need, Child Protection, Pre-Court Process, and Care Proceedings, ensuring that every decision fosters safety, well-being, and future stability.

Candidate Responsibilities for the Social Worker (Bcft Dfe):

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families, identifying needs and risks
  • Develop and implement effective child protection plans
  • Support families through pre-court processes and care proceedings
  • Collaborate with multi-agency teams to deliver holistic support
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements
  • Engage with children and families using relational and restorative practice models
  • Ensure each child’s voice is heard and their best interests are prioritized
  • Promote safeguarding policies and procedures to protect vulnerable children

Candidate Requirements for the Social Worker (Bcft Dfe):

  • Relevant social work qualification (e.g., SSWA, DipSW, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in Child in Need, Child Protection, and Court proceedings
  • Ability to work confidently with complex cases in a challenging environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child-focused practice
  • Full driving license and access to your own vehicle is preferred
