Are you an experienced Social Worker looking for a rewarding contract opportunity? We are currently seeking a dedicated Social Worker - Children's Services to join our team on a 2-month contract basis. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive environment, making a significant difference in the lives of children and families in Rawtenstall and the surrounding areas.
Position: Social Worker - Children's Services
Location: Rawtenstall (covering Haslingden, Bacup, Whitworth, Rossendale)
Contract Length: 2 months
Pay Rate: Competitive, subject to experience
Candidate Responsibilities for the Social Worker - Children's Services
As a Social Worker - Children's Services, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting Child Protection, Child in Need, and Assessment reviews in line with court procedures (S47, S7, and S37s).
- Managing a case load involving safeguarding and family support within the Family Safeguarding framework.
- Attending court hearings and providing expert testimony when required.
- Developing comprehensive case reports and intervention plans.
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies to promote child welfare.
- Ensuring all cases are managed in accordance with statutory and organizational guidelines.

Candidate Requirements for the Social Worker - Children's Services
- Proven experience in Child Protection and Child in Need assessments.
- Court experience specifically with S47, S7, and S37 cases.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant social work qualification and registration (e.g., HCPC registered).
- Knowledge of Family Safeguarding practices is advantageous.
