Social Worker - Children's Services

Are you an experienced Social Worker passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker - Children's Services to join our team in Chorley South Ribble on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic Family Safeguarding team, providing vital support and safeguarding for vulnerable children and their families.

Candidate Responsibilities: As a Social Worker - Children's Services, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's needs and family situations.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with families, partner agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure children's safety and well-being are the top priorities at all times.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate case records in compliance with statutory guidelines and organizational policies.
  • Attend multi-agency meetings and contribute to safeguarding strategies.
  • Support children and families through casework, ensuring personalized intervention plans.
  • Work proactively within the Family Safeguarding framework to promote positive outcomes.
  • Adhere to all legal and organizational procedures, including timely case reviews and reporting.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in children’s social care, preferably within a family safeguarding environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Well-organized with excellent case management skills.
