Candidate Responsibilities
The successful Social Worker will:
- Conduct thorough assessments of children’s needs and family circumstances
- Develop and implement tailored care plans aligned with statutory guidelines
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, and families
- Provide ongoing support, advice, and guidance to children and their carers
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed case records in line with organizational standards
- Advocate for children’s rights and promote their best interests
- Participate in supervision and team meetings to review cases and share best practices
- Relevant qualification such as Diploma in Social Work (DipSW) or equivalent
- Registered with the appropriate Social Work regulatory body
- Experience working with children and families, preferably with disabilities
- Knowledge of safeguarding protocols and legislation
- Excellent communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and priorities
- Competitive pay rate (to be discussed during the interview process)
- Contract length: 13 weeks with potential extension
