About the Role: Social Worker - Grade 10 (Children and Families)

As a Social Worker - Grade 10 (Children and Families), you will be responsible for providing vital support and intervention services to children and families in need. This role demands a proactive and empathetic approach to safeguarding and welfare, ensuring that vulnerable individuals receive the best possible care and protection.

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of children and family needs, developing tailored support plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely case documentation in accordance with organisational policies.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, healthcare professionals, and law enforcement agencies.
• Attend and contribute to case reviews, court hearings, and meetings regarding child welfare.
• Provide advice, support, and advocacy for children and families in challenging circumstances.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safeguarding procedures.
• Manage a designated caseload efficiently, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
• Engage with children and families with sensitivity, promoting their well-being and safety.

Candidate Requirements:

• Relevant social work degree or equivalent qualification.
• Registered or eligible for registration with the HV (Health & Care Professions Council, HCPC).
• Proven experience working within children and families services.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid UK driving license (preferred but not essential).
