About the Role: Social Worker L4 CYPDT CA12 - 0459 Grade L
As a Social Worker L4 CYPDT CA12 - 0459 Grade L, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and young people, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. The position offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with 50% of administrative tasks able to be completed remotely, providing a healthy work-life balance. This role covers a diverse range of locations including County Hall, Trowbridge; Bourne Hill, Salisbury; and Monkton Park, Chippenham, giving you the flexibility to work in multiple office environments across the county.
Candidate Responsibilities for the Social Worker L4 CYPDT CA12 - 0459 Grade L
- Conduct thorough assessments of children and young people to determine their needs
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual circumstances
- Collaborate with families, schools, and external agencies to support vulnerable children
- Maintain accurate and detailed case records in compliance with statutory requirements
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated care
- Provide professional advice and support to colleagues and external partners
- Monitor and review cases regularly to ensure positive outcomes
- Manage a dynamic caseload within a countywide framework
Candidate Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant Social Work qualification and registration with the HCPC
- Proven experience working as a Social Worker within child and young person teams
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to work across multiple locations and adapt to changing caseloads
