Job Overview: Social Worker L4 Sass Ca12 – 1155 Grade L

As a Social Worker L4 Sass Ca12 – 1155 Grade L, you will play a vital role in supporting children, young people, and their families across the county. You will work within a dedicated team that prioritises professional development, wellbeing, and innovative practice. The pay rate for this role ranges from £36 to £40 per hour, depending on your level of experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Social Worker L4 Sass Ca12 – 1155 Grade L include:

• Managing referral and assessment casework for children and families
• Leading on Child in Need and Child Protection plans
• Supporting legal processes to secure permanency for children and young people
• Maintaining a ‘one journey’ case approach, staying with the child from initial contact to permanence if necessary
• Applying a hybrid working model, combining remote work with county-based visits
• Utilizing protected casework caseloads with case weighting tools to ensure manageable workloads
• Collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams, including co-working cases with key workers
• Engaging in reflective supervision, receiving support from Assistant Team Managers and Team Managers

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in referral and assessment casework
• Knowledge of Child in Need, Child Protection, and legal processes
• Excellent communication and multi-agency collaboration skills
• A current social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
