About the Role: Social Worker / Senior Practitioner (Children's)
As a Social Worker / Senior Practitioner (Children's), you will be pivotal in safeguarding and assessing children's needs, promoting their well-being, and supporting vulnerable families. Working within a dedicated team of six, your responsibilities will include managing complex cases, contributing to safeguarding strategies, and supporting team development.
Candidate Responsibilities for the Social Worker / Senior Practitioner (Children's) Role
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine support needs
- Develop and implement proactive plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare
- Maintain accurate, detailed case records in line with statutory guidelines
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure holistic support for children
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and supervision sessions
- For Senior Practitioner / Assistant Team Manager roles: provide supervision and mentorship to junior team members, lead practice development initiatives, and share expertise

- Social Worker / Band 1 (ASYE + 2 years’ experience): £28.55/hr
- Senior Social Worker / Band 2 (ASYE + 3 years’ experience): £30.57/hr
- Advanced / Senior Practitioner / Assistant Team Manager: £33.30/hr
