Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker / Senior Practitioner (Children's) looking to make a meaningful difference in children's lives? We are seeking an experienced professional to join the Cannock and Lichfield Children's Disability Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, delivering vital services to children and families in the community.
About the Role
As a Social Worker / Senior Practitioner (Children's), you will play a key role in providing high-quality social work assessments and interventions. The team is based at The Old House, Cannock, and features a staff team of eight dedicated professionals. Your responsibilities will include:
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Conducting Child in Need reviews and visits
- Managing cases regarding Children in Need, Children in Care, and Child Protection
- Collaborating with families, schools, and external agencies to ensure children's safety and wellbeing
- Maintaining accurate case records and writing detailed reports
- Participating in team meetings, supervisions, and training sessions
- Upholding safeguarding protocols and statutory requirements
Key Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker (ASYE or with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience)
- Strong knowledge of child protection procedures and legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle preferred

Salary
£28.55 per hour (equivalent to a competitive contract rate for experienced Social Workers / Senior Practitioners)
