Pay Rate: £13.47 per hour ex Holiday | £16.85 per hour Umbrella
Hours: Full-time 37 hours per week
Contract: Temporary / Ongoing

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Strimmer Operative to join a busy Grounds Maintenance team in Leicestershire.

This is a hands-on outdoor role, ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining public spaces and communal areas to a high standard.

You will work as part of an established Grounds Maintenance team, carrying out strimming and general maintenance duties across multiple locations throughout Leicestershire Highways.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating strimmers and other grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintaining grass verges, pathways, communal areas and public spaces.
• Carrying out general grounds maintenance duties as required.
• Ensuring all equipment is used correctly and safely.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.
• Working as part of a team to deliver grounds maintenance services across multiple locations.
• Identifying and reporting any hazards or issues encountered while working.
• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintaining a professional approach when working in public-facing areas.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience operating a strimmer or working within grounds maintenance is desirable.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
• Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on outdoor role.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision when required.
• Full Clean UK Driving License is essential.
