Substance Misuse Nurse – Ellesmere Port & Chester

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Substance Misuse Nurse to join a dedicated team supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol use.

Location: Ellesmere Port & Chester
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Contract Length: 3 months
Pay Rate: £29/hour (Ltd)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical interventions in community-based hubs.
• Improve healthcare access for service users, including BBV testing/treatment, healthcare assessments, ambulatory detox, and clinical observations.
• Provide and supervise high standards of nursing care in line with evidence-based practice and Via policies.
• Carry out general healthcare activities such as wound care, ECGs, and similar procedures.
• Undertake basic life support and anaphylaxis training to confidently manage medical emergencies, including administering emergency drugs.
• Support individuals in their recovery journey, promoting health and well-being.

Requirements:

• Relevant nursing qualification and registration.
• Experience in substance misuse or related field preferred.
• Confidence in delivering clinical care and managing emergencies.
