Overview We are recruiting for a Permanent Support Worker to join a brand-new, bespoke support team for an individual who will soon be moving into their own home in the Heysham (LA3) area.
This role offers a structured introduction, beginning with paid training and shadow shifts in LA2, before transitioning to the new home in LA3.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting daily routines at home and in the community
- Taking part in walking, swimming, horse riding, shopping and other activities
- Providing personal care sensitively and professionally
- Promoting independence (budgeting, self?care, decision-making)
- Supporting communication, including use of an iPad
- Managing behaviours of concern where necessary
- Ensuring safety, wellbeing and advocacy at all times
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience supporting people with autism and/or learning disabilities
- Comfortable providing personal care
- Physically able to walk long distances in various weather conditions
- No allergies to horses
- Non-smoker (essential)
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Patient, resilient, reliable, organised
- Personal qualities: kind, empathetic, energetic, bubbly, and boundary?aware
- Enhanced DBS check (barred list where applicable)
