Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Surveyor / Supervisor to join a growing team within the social housing sector. This is a dual role, combining property inspections with the supervision of repairs and maintenance works across occupied residential properties.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Surveyor / Supervisor to join a growing team within the social housing sector. This is a dual role, combining property inspections with the supervision of repairs and maintenance works across occupied residential properties.
You will be responsible for diagnosing defects, producing detailed reports and schedules of work, and ensuring repairs are delivered to a high standard through to completion. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre- and post-inspections across residential properties
- Diagnose issues including damp, mould, condensation, leaks, and structural defects
- Produce technical reports with photographic evidence
- Prepare schedules of work and cost estimates (NHF Schedule of Rates and quoted works)
- Specify remedial works that address root causes, not just symptoms
- Supervise operatives and subcontractors on site
- Monitor quality, performance, and health & safety compliance
- Manage disrepair cases and coordinate repairs through to completion
- Maintain accurate records and provide technical advice to clients and tenants
- Proven experience in social housing (essential)
- Background in surveying, disrepair, or maintenance supervision
- Strong knowledge of damp & mould diagnosis, responsive repairs, and property maintenance
- Experience working in occupied properties
- Good understanding of health & safety and compliance
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Relevant technical or trade qualifications
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
