Wirral Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead and manage a dynamic Children’s Social Care team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader to drive high-quality practice and deliver positive outcomes for children, young people, and their families.

- Manage and allocate referrals efficiently, ensuring timely and appropriate responses
- Oversee caseloads and ensure compliance with agreed casework standards
- Deliver reflective supervision, performance management, and professional support
- Audit and scrutinise practice to maintain high service quality
- Promote the voice of the child in all interventions
- Build strong multi-agency partnerships to enhance service delivery
- Support staff development, mentoring, and coaching
- Contribute to service improvements and strategic development
- Manage budgets effectively and promote value for money
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organisational standards
- Qualified Social Worker with significant post-qualification experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience within Children’s Social Care services
- Ability to drive performance and deliver high-quality outcomes
- Excellent communication and partnership working skills
