Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire (part office-based, part home working)
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 (depending on experience) + discretionary quarterly bonuses
Contract: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours p/w) or part-time.

Montgomery Charles Financial Management Ltd. is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and is looking for a Technical Paraplanner to join a highly technical, client-first team. This Technical Paraplanner role combines hands-on technical work with strong client service, supporting consultants to help clients live rich and meaningful lives.
Candidate Responsibilities
As a Technical Paraplanner, your day-to-day focus will include:
- Supporting consultants ahead of client meetings as part of the Technical Paraplanner team
- Preparing compliant technical suitability reports and “Financial Life Plan” documents
- Producing documentation for client annual reviews
- Conducting technical research and analysing data on behalf of clients
- Accurately processing investment actions in line with consultant recommendations post-meeting
- Liaising with clients following meetings to answer technical queries
- Proactively identifying investment and tax-saving opportunities for clients
- Managing priorities, working to deadlines, and maintaining high quality standards within the Technical Paraplanner function
- Evaluating client portfolios alongside consultants and supporting ongoing planning discussions
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required
- Level 4 Diploma qualified
- Minimum 3 years working as a Technical Paraplanner
- Strong IT skills: MS Word & Excel, plus back-office system experience
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines
