Tenancy Specialist – Anti-Social Behaviour
Location: Remote working, with occasional attendance at Morden, Penge or Lewisham
Contract: 3-month temporary contract
Rate: £28.03 LTD per hour
Vacancies: 3 positions available
Role Overview
We are currently recruiting three experienced Tenancy Specialists to support a busy housing management service across South London.
The successful candidates will take responsibility for a high-volume caseload of complex anti-social behaviour matters. This is a specialist position requiring candidates who can demonstrate substantial experience of managing ASB cases from initial report through to resolution or legal action.
The organisation can accommodate fully remote candidates, although occasional attendance at an office in Morden, Penge or Lewisham may be required for initial training, meetings or other operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a high-volume caseload of complex anti-social behaviour cases.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into reports of ASB.
  • Interview residents, witnesses and alleged perpetrators.
  • Gather, review and assess evidence and witness statements.
  • Develop and implement effective case management and action plans.
  • Manage cases involving domestic abuse, cuckooing, harassment, threats, noise nuisance, drug-related activity and other forms of serious ASB.
  • Work closely with residents, police, local authorities, social services and other partner agencies.
  • Complete risk assessments and ensure appropriate safeguarding measures are implemented.
  • Prepare injunction applications and associated legal paperwork.
  • Produce accurate case summaries, chronologies and evidence packs.
  • Attend legal meetings, case conferences and court hearings where required.
  • Ensure cases are progressed promptly and residents receive regular updates.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records in line with organisational procedures.
  • Manage competing priorities within a demanding and fast-paced housing environment.
Essential Experience
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
  • Significant experience managing a full anti-social behaviour caseload within social housing.
  • Experience independently managing ASB cases from initial investigation through to closure or legal action.
  • Strong knowledge of ASB legislation, enforcement options and housing management procedures.
  • Experience gathering and reviewing evidence and obtaining detailed witness statements.
  • Experience preparing injunction paperwork, legal documentation and court evidence.
  • Experience managing complex and high-risk cases, including domestic abuse, cuckooing, harassment and serious nuisance.
  • The ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accurate records and progressing cases effectively.
  • Strong partnership-working experience with the police, local authorities, safeguarding teams and other external agencies.
  • Excellent written communication, investigation and decision-making skills.
Candidate Requirements
This position is not suitable for candidates whose experience is primarily generic housing or tenancy management with only limited exposure to ASB.
CVs should clearly include:
  • The number of ASB cases managed at any one time.
  • Examples of complex cases personally investigated and resolved.
  • The types of ASB managed, including domestic abuse, cuckooing, harassment, drug-related activity or serious nuisance.
  • Details of legal action undertaken.
  • Experience preparing injunction applications, witness statements and court documentation.
  • Examples of partnership working and safeguarding interventions.
Working Arrangements
The role can be completed predominantly remotely. Candidates must be willing to occasionally attend one of the following offices where required:
  • Morden
  • Penge
  • Lewisham
The service covers South London and currently operates with high caseload volumes. Candidates must therefore be confident working independently, managing pressure and progressing complex cases without extensive supervision.
