Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Urgent Care Practitioner to support one of our NHS partners based in Derby. This role is ideal for clinicians seeking flexible work within a busy and supportive urgent care environment.

Role Overview As a Band 6 Urgent Care Practitioner, you will work autonomously to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of urgent and unplanned presentations across both adult and paediatric populations.
Key Clinical Responsibilities Minor Illness Experienced in managing:
- Respiratory infections
- ENT conditions
- Abdominal pain
- Urinary symptoms
- Dermatology and rashes
- Viral illnesses
- General infections
- Sprains and strains
- Simple fractures
- Wound assessment and closure
- Burns and scalds
- Soft?tissue injuries
- Musculoskeletal presentations
- 0–12 months
- 12–24 months
- 24 months
Competent with fever management, rashes, viral illness, and minor injuries.
- Initial assessment and risk evaluation
- Support for crisis presentations
- Management of low level mental health concerns
- Appropriate escalation and safeguarding
- Triage of early-pregnancy symptoms
- Identifying red flag concerns
- Safe management and referral according to guidelines
- Registered Nurse, Paramedic, or Allied Health Professional
- Previous experience within Urgent Care, Walk In Centres, A&E, or GP Out?of?Hours
- Confident working autonomously
- Comfortable treating both adults and children
