The Role As an Urgent Care Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and timely care through telephone consultations. Your duties will include:
- Liaising with medical and nursing leadership teams to oversee patients awaiting contact
- Managing clinical demand alongside the Clinical Coordinator / Shift Manager
- Escalating high-risk or priority patients appropriately
- Reviewing patient queues to minimise clinical risk and ensure correct signposting
- Prioritising patients using a Red Flag triage approach, including vulnerable and high-risk groups
- Applying clinical reasoning to safely manage patient pathways and dispositions
- Conducting thorough telephone assessments using clinical judgment and decision-support tools
- Weekdays: Flexible 6-hour shifts between 6:00pm – 8:00am
- Weekends: 24/7 availability

- Degree in Clinical Practice / Nursing
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience
- Extensive experience within emergency healthcare settings
- Significant expertise in clinical triage
- Experience in urgent care, primary care, or similar settings
- Clinical Examination & Diagnostics (Level 6/7) or strong telephone triage experience
- Telephone Triage Experience
