Young People's Recovery Worker
Location: Warwickshire
Rate: Up to £22.00 per hour (Umbrella)
PAYE Inclusive: £19.40 per hour
PAYE (Excluding Holiday Pay): £17.31 per hour
Contract: Initial 3-Month Contract
Hours: 28 Hours per Week
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Young People's Recovery Worker to join a specialist Drug & Alcohol Service delivering support to children and young people who are at risk of entering, or are currently involved in, the criminal justice system.
Working closely with the services, you will provide targeted, trauma-informed interventions that empower young people to make safer, healthier choices around substance misuse and reduce the risk of offending and re-offending.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and young people affected by substance misuse or another person's substance use.
- Deliver comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, care plans, reviews, and evidence-based psychosocial interventions.
- Provide early intervention, harm reduction advice, and recovery-focused support tailored to individual needs.
- Deliver one-to-one and psychoeducational group sessions to young people.
- Work collaboratively with the Warwickshire Youth Justice Service and partner agencies, including CAMHS, Police, Social Care, Education, and other community services.
- Support young people through prevention programmes, youth cautions, community orders, and transitions into adult services where appropriate.
- Carry out health screenings and holistic assessments to identify support needs.
- Attend multi-agency meetings, safeguarding meetings, Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children Looked After (CLA) reviews, providing professional reports where required.
- Promote safeguarding and ensure all interventions are delivered in line with current legislation and best practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely records using SystmOne.
- Deliver outreach support where required across Warwickshire and contribute to workforce development by sharing knowledge and promoting awareness of substance misuse.
- A relevant qualification in Substance Misuse, Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or an equivalent Level 4 qualification in Children, Young People, Families, or Social Care.
- Experience working with children and young people in a community or health and social care setting.
- Previous experience within the drug and alcohol/substance misuse sector.
- Experience managing a caseload and delivering person-centred interventions.
- Experience facilitating one-to-one and group-based support sessions.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development, risk assessment, and trauma-informed practice.
- Experience working in partnership with multi-agency professionals.
- Experience using SystmOne.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo one).
- Competitive pay of up to £22.00 per hour (Umbrella).

- £19.40 per hour (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)
- £17.31 per hour (Excluding Holiday Pay)
