On Sunday 7th August, ‘Gala in the Gardens’ took place in Winckley Square, providing a free event with magic, live music, crazy golf, and more. The day was aimed to create a fun atmosphere for the young and old, making a perfect opportunity for a family day out.

Highlights of the day included music from daughter and father Geno and Hayley Eccles, contestants coached by on ITV’s The Voice, Illusionists ‘Slightly Unusual’, Hula Hooping with the expert Angie Mac, face painting, and many more fun activities.

The event was hosted by the 'Friends of Winckley Square' at a cost of over £5,000. As part of our ongoing mission of giving something back to our local community and through our close friendship with the ‘Friends of Winckley Square’, we take pride in contributing to the event, through sponsorship along with many other local companies. Hosting free events, which every individual can attend if they wish, helps to create a positive community, and at SCS, we are delighted to be a part making this day a reality.

Associate Director Paul Bradley said , "We are proud to be part of the Winckley Square community and grateful to have the Friends of Winckley Square as neighbours. We are happy to support the great work they do to bring our community together through our own commitment towards making a positive impact upon our local and wider economy”
