Job Description
A Local Authority based in Warwickshire is looking for two Lead Accountants to join their team (one in major projects team) on an initial 3-month basis.
The Lead Accountant in major projects will work with project managers to assist with high profile transformation and capital schemes, ensure members and officers have high quality financial advice and direction and will incorporate financial strategies for effective operation.
The general finance Lead Accountant will be responsible for the annual budget setting process for the General Fund and HRA ensuring that the Local Authority's strategic objectives for financial matters are met. They will also be responsible for the production of financial strategies and act as the councils expert on financial matters.

Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years experience with Local Authority finance
- Fully qualified CCAB member or equivalent preferably CIPFA
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team and on own initiative
- Experience with either project accounting or budget setting for a service.
- Experience managing a team and developing financial systems/process
