ADHD Nurse

An exciting opportunity has become available in the Birmingham area for a ADHD Nurse. The multi-disciplinary service supports Children and Younger People with possible ADHD. The successful candidate will work closely with families and schools to offer strategies to manage behaviour. The contract is available for a minimum period of 12-weeks with the likelihood of extension. This is a full-time opportunity with 37.5 Hours per Week available.

Job Purpose: ADHD Nurse

Pay: £30.00 Umbrella LTD p/h + £250 WELCOME BONUS

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00

Contract: 37.5 Hours per Week (part-time applications will be considered)

Location: Birmingham, Midlands

The service provides a range of support options to Children and Younger People with severe and enduring mental health problems including ADHD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Lead Clinician Community Paediatrician to lead the delivery of a high quality clinical service, providing screening and monitoring of ADHD and associated conditions.
  • Follow up diagnosed children, young people and families/carers in a nurse led clinic, monitoring clinical outcomes and encouraging uptake of medication or non-pharmaceutical support, using highly-developed communication skills.
  • Use clinical reasoning skills, knowledge and experience to provide specialist support and advice to the team, other medical /health colleagues and to external agencies such as education, social care and the voluntary sector.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner, with responsibility and accountability for all aspects of own professional activity.


Essential:

  • Nursing Qualification (RMN/RNLD/RGN, etc)
  • NMC Registration
  • Non-Medical Prescriber (V300) or equivalent
  • Full UK Driving License and Access to Own Car
