Are you passionate about helping people into the right home? We’re recruiting an Allocations Officer for a Housing Association based in Sevenoaks on a 3-month fixed term secondment with hybrid working.
THE ROLE
This position is key to ensuring efficient home allocations, helping customers access the right properties, and supporting tenancy sustainability.
- Make the best use of housing stock through allocations, mutual exchanges, transfers, decants, and under-occupation
- Reduce rent loss by managing voids and lettings effectively
- Support customers in understanding their tenancy responsibilities
- Collaborate with partners to meet housing and homelessness needs
- Manage decant processes to ensure customer satisfaction during works
- Provide accurate, customer-focused advice and support
- Help develop modern ICT processes for improved service delivery
We're looking for a confident housing professional with experience in allocations and tenancy support.
- Strong knowledge of housing allocations, mutual exchanges, and decants
- Experience in customer service with a positive, solution-focused approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all audiences
- Ability to manage complex cases and sensitive conversations professionally
- Competent in Microsoft Office and confident using housing management systems
WORKING HOURS: 8:45am – 5:15pm Mon to Thurs, 8:45am – 4:45pm Fri
HYBRID: 2 days per week based in office
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 3 Month Fixed Term, Covering Secondment, potential for extension
RATE: FTE Salary: £32,333. Hourly rate £16.80 PAYE
