Bid Assistant

Job Description

Our client based in Birmingham are currently looking for a Bid assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The purpose of the role is to assist the pre-contracts team in preparing high quality bids and pre-qualification proposals.


  • Working within the pre-contracts team and alongside our proposals manager you will be involved in preparation of all aspects of tendering opportunities from receipt of enquiry, preparation of documents including design and aesthetics through to final submission.
  • Managing central enquiries inbox and team diaries.
  • Logging new and incoming tender information to ensure the team keeps abreast of upcoming deadlines.
  • Reviewing new business opportunities and dissecting information to pass onto the pre-contracts team for further consideration.
  • Schedule out deliverables for bids and disseminate to the team.
  • Complete PQQs, supplier questionnaires and expressions of interest.
  • Liaison across other business departments to collate information to prepare proposal documents.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in a similar role preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience of InDesign or similar.
  • Able to create clear, concise and visually appealing presentations.
  • Experience of working with a busy team.

Our client is looking to move quickly and are therefore offering between £24,000 - £26,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications.
