Role Overview As a Crisis CAMHS Practitioner, you will provide urgent mental health support to children and adolescents experiencing psychological distress. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment & Treatment: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Care Planning: Collaborate with patients, families, and professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to mental health crises, ensuring safety and stability for young people.
- Safeguarding: Identify and manage safeguarding concerns, liaising with appropriate agencies to protect vulnerable individuals.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Shifts available Monday to Sunday
- Minimum of 4 shifts per week
- Shift times: 08:00 AM – 08:00 PM
- A recognised qualification in Mental Health (RMN, Social Work, or equivalent)
- Experience working in CAMHS or with children and adolescents in a mental health setting
- Strong understanding of mental health legislation and safeguarding procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
