Care Leavers Social Worker

Job Description


Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Care Leaver's Social Worker in Croydon.

We are looking to recruit highly motivated qualified Social Workers within a children's Care Leaver's Team, who will be able to assess effectively and manage a fast-paced work environment.

We are a fast-paced service who embrace the challenges presented by our group of young people, and we need a Social Worker who can embrace this and respond. We need someone who is unafraid to challenge, who can work in a collaborative manner with different professionals such as Housing and Education.

It is essential that you have a good knowledge of the Leaving Care Act, as well as the need to understand the procedures and processes surrounding Looked After Children, Care Leavers & Unaccompanied Asylum seekers.

Job Specification

Weekly Hours: 36 per week.
Assignment Duration: initially 3 months.
Work from home: There is an expectation that 1 week in every month they are in office. (Equipment and ID for the role is provided)
Weekly Shift Pattern: 5 days of 7.
Handling a manageable caseload.

For this position, you must have:
- A degree or master's in social work (or any other recognised equivalent qualification)
- HCPC registration

It is desirable that you have 1+ years post qualifying experience within Children's Services.
