Childcare Solicitor Opportunity

Job Overview

An esteemed local authority is seeking a dedicated Childcare Solicitor to join their legal department. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the community by providing expert legal advice and representation in childcare matters. The position is set to commence immediately and is projected to continue until the beginning of January 2025, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of childcare matters.
  • Represent the local authority in court proceedings and case management conferences.
  • Work collaboratively with social services and other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
  • Prepare and review legal documents related to childcare cases.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with experience in childcare law.
  • Strong understanding of the legal framework governing childcare and protection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of client care and confidentiality.

Remuneration and Working Hours

The role requires the successful candidate to be present in the office once or twice per week, ensuring a blend of in-office and remote working that supports work-life balance. The role will be able to pay 50-£60 an hour depending on experience. between 35-37 hours a week!
