Children's Centre Worker

- Contract length - Initially 3 months
- Rate of pay - £14ltd per hour
- Location - South West Locality
The London Borough of Hillingdon are currently seeking a Children's Centre Worker to join their team. As a Children's Centre Worker, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of community and centre-based activities that support young children's learning, development, and health, ensuring consistency of high-quality provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of appropriate activities that are conducive to supporting the learning and development of young children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Assess and evaluate family needs and identify appropriate services to meet those needs, working within the team and outside agencies signposting as required
- Raise parent/carer awareness of the needs of the developing child and to model and share good practice
- Ensure support is given to parent/carers as appropriate for instance e.g. parenting skills and behaviour management
- Support the children with their individual care needs, e.g. feeding, toileting as appropriate and in accordance with centre policies
Requirements:
- Experience working with young children
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and also independently
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
- Ability to assess and evaluate family needs and identify appropriate services to meet those needs
