We are looking for a skilled and committed Children’s Senior Social Worker to join our fast-paced Assessment and Intervention Service on a 52-week contract. Role Overview As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, child-focused social work services. You will assess needs, plan and implement effective interventions, and work in partnership with families and multi-agency professionals to safeguard and improve outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities
- 🧾 Assessment & Planning
Undertake in-depth assessments and develop tailored plans to meet the needs of children and families. - 👥 Multi-Agency Collaboration
Coordinate with professionals across health, education, and other services to implement effective, integrated interventions. - 🧒 Support for Vulnerable Families
Provide guidance, advocacy, and practical help to families in challenging situations. - 🌐 Relationship Building
Establish positive, respectful relationships with children, families, carers, and community partners. - 📈 Monitoring & Evaluation
Track the impact of interventions and adapt plans as necessary to ensure sustained improvements. - 📚 Policy & Practice Development
Contribute to the development and enhancement of service policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Demonstrable experience in children’s services, particularly within assessment and intervention
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and make sound professional judgments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
