Are you a Psychologist seeking a new LOCUM challenge? Do you have previous experience working with C&YP with ASD?

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Band 8b Clinical Psychologist for a LOCUM contract supporting Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide psychological support to children and young adults aged 0-25. The contract will run for an initial period of 3 months with the likelihood of extension.

Job Purpose: Band 8b Clinical

Pay Rate: £40.00 LTD p/h + £250 SCS Sign-Up Bonus

Location: Remote / Shropshire

Working Hours: 09:00-17:00

Contract: 27 hours per week (Flexible)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership: Serve as the clinical lead for ASD diagnostic assessments within the Neurodevelopmental (ND) pathway, ensuring high standards of clinical practice are maintained.
  • Supervision and Support: Provide supervision, guidance, and support to the multidisciplinary team (MDT), ensuring effective and collaborative working practices.
  • Diagnostic Oversight: Oversee the diagnostic process for ASD assessments, including the review and interpretation of ADOS and ADI assessments, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • MDT Meetings: Chair regular multidisciplinary team meetings, facilitating case discussions, coordinating care plans, and ensuring comprehensive evaluation of each case.
  • Communication with Leadership: Regularly communicate with the leadership team, raising any clinical concerns, challenges, or needs related to the assessment process or team functioning.
  • Clinical Assistance: As required, assist with clinical duties in ASD assessment clinics, providing direct support during peak times or when additional expertise is needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure that all clinical documentation, reports, and records are completed accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to professional standards and guidelines.
  • Remote Collaboration: For remote candidates, maintain effective communication and collaboration with the on-site team, ensuring consistent involvement in MDT meetings and clinical supervision.



Requirements

  • HCPC Registration
  • Clinical/counselling Psychology Doctorate or equivalent
  • Training and understanding of ADOS and ADI
