Compliance Team Leader

A client within the Public Sector based in Leicestershire is currently recruiting for a Compliance Team Leader to join their Asset Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to efficiently manage and report on legislative compliance for the Council's Housing and Corporate buildings.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Maintaining compliance for Legionella, Fire, Lift, Fuel, Electrical, etc. regulations.
  • Provide reports for senior managers and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
  • Write procedures to demonstrate actions taken in order to maintain compliance, ensuring results are kept electronically for easy retrieval.
  • Ensure all remedial actions are completed within the appropriate timescales.
  • Managing, evaluating and controlling the use of the contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers supporting the delivery of an efficient, compliant service across Asset Management, Property Services and Housing.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require a qualification in a construction or maintenance related discipline equivalent to or higher than a Higher National Certificate (including a gas, electrical and/or solid fuel qualification) or relevant demonstrable experience.

The below skills would be essential for the role:

  • Full valid UK driving licence
  • Significant experience and a proven track record of successfully operating at management level
  • Leading the delivery of high quality, customer-focused project management services that deliver quality outcomes for customers, tenants, and communities

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £25 - £26 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
