Introduction: Service Care Solutions, in partnership with the National Crime Agency (NCA), is actively recruiting for the role of Digital Forensic (DF) Assurance & Innovation Senior Officer. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the effective, efficient, and high-quality digital service provided to the NCA, the community, and the Criminal Justice System. The position is instrumental in the continuous development and management of frontline capabilities, specifically focusing on mobile device Kiosks.
Role Overview: As a Digital Forensic (DF) Assurance & Innovation Senior Officer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an effective, efficient, and high-quality digital service to the National Crime Agency, the community, and the Criminal Justice System. This position focuses on the continuous development and management of frontline capabilities, specifically mobile device Kiosks.
Responsibilities:
- Regular engagement with Forensic Operations and Investigations colleagues to promote the use of frontline capability.
- Co-ordination of training and competency assessment.
- Support departmental development and maintenance of ISO17025 policy and procedures for frontline digital forensic capability.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of validation, verification, and test/calibration processes for DF frontline capability.
- Conduct quality assurance checks for mobile device Kiosk users (witnessed activity, peer reviews, QA of evidential reports, etc.).
- Ensure continuous improvement through internal audits against frontline DF working practices.
- Support DF Technical Managers in conducting root cause analysis and problem resolution for scientific/technical issues.
- Identify and co-ordinate DF participation in Proficiency Testing and Inter-laboratory Comparison testing.
- Assist with Digital Forensic capability development, capturing new frontline capability requirements, delivering automation, and adopting Cloud technologies.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to the Quality Management Team and wider Forensics department on all aspects of frontline DF activity.
- Build good working relationships with both internal and external partners.
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of digital forensics processes and procedures within the frontline environment.
- Experience working in an accredited environment.
- Good working knowledge of the FSR Codes of Practice.
