Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a well-established London Borough Council who are seeking a Contracts Lawyer to join them on a contract basis. Job Opportunity: Contracts Lawyer
Location: London / Hybrid
Rate: £45 - £60 per hour LTD, depending on post-qualifying experience
Contract Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension)

Hybrid working arrangement with at least one day per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse caseload of contracts, including procurement for repairs, major works, and various other agreements.
• Provide expert advice on public procurement regulations, construction law, JCT building contracts, contracts for goods and services, frameworks, and local authority governance.
• Attend departmental contract review boards and offer legal counsel.

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales), Barrister (England and Wales), or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in public procurement and contracts.
• Strong understanding of construction law and public procurement regulations.
