A client within the Public Sector based in Nottinghamshire is currently recruiting for a Contracts Officer to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, contract position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within the public sector within a Planning and Economic Development environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to make a significant contribution to the economic prosperity of the Council by project managing the delivery of major projects and services that are in contract and or being constructed.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Support the Economic Development, Regeneration and UKSPF Programme Manager in the development, management and delivery of the service's key objectives and tasks;
- Day to day responsibility for running projects from initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project
- Ensure any major projects that the Council has contracted with firms and providers are successfully built or delivered to specification. i.e. adequately managed and implemented as per the contract
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require experience of working within a similar role before.
It will be essential to have an extensive level of knowledge of the below:
- Experience to lead on project delivery, investment schemes, and delivering projects and programmes to their financial and physical completion
- Experience to lead on Town Centre Management activities, projects and initiatives, aimed at promoting the health and prosperity of the Borough's four major towns and retail centres.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £450 per day Umbrella Ltd.
