An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Children's Residential Deputy Manager to join a well-established 2-bed children's home in Warrington. We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and child-focused individual to support the Registered Manager in delivering outstanding care and creating a safe, supportive environment for the young people in our service.
? About the Role:
- Full-time, 37 hours per week on a rota basis (including weekends and sleep-in duties).
- Play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the home.
- Provide guidance and support to a team of residential care staff.
- Ensure the service meets the highest standards of care in line with Ofsted regulations.
- Foster a nurturing and therapeutic environment for young people to thrive.
- 20% enhancements Monday–Friday (7pm–11pm)
- 30% enhancements Saturday & Sunday evenings (7pm–11pm)
- Comprehensive training and development package
- Easily commutable from Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and Merseyside
- NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People / Diploma in Social Care
- Current First Aid, Fire Safety, and Team Teach (or similar) certificates
- Experience working with children in a social care setting
- Sound understanding of the needs and behaviours of young people
- Experience supervising or managing staff
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Calm, flexible, and reflective approach to working with young people
- Committed to safeguarding and professional standards
- Willing to work unsociable hours and complete sleep-ins on a rota basis
- NVQ Level 4 or QCF Level 5 in Care/Management
- Understanding of performance and budget management
- Full UK Driving Licence
