Service Care Solutions are working in partnership with our established client to recruit an experienced Director of Nursing in the County Tipperary area. The successful candidate will play a vital role in leading the Nursing Team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents. The role requires strong leadership abilities and a commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
The service is a specialist Nursing Home supporting Older Adults with a range of complex conditions including Dementia. The home has a maximum occupancy of 81-beds and provides long-term residential care and on-going medical monitoring and physical treatment to residents.
Job Purpose: Director of Nursing
Salary: €70,000-€80,000 per annum + £250 SCS Sign-Up Bonus
Location: Clonmel, County Tipperary
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30
Contract: Full-time | 40 Hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership and clinical supervision to staff to enhance standards and morale.
- Creating and maintaining a residential environment where residents feel supported and valued.
- Ensuring adequate staffing levels for high-quality care delivery and smooth operations.
- Serving as a resource to nursing staff in planning and implementing care.
- Providing leadership and clinical supervision to all staff is essential for enhancing standards and fostering a positive team morale.
- Establishing and upholding high standards of professional practice and ensuring the nursing home environment meets the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of residents.
- Promoting, encouraging, and practicing person-centred care which is essential for ensuring the well-being of residents.
- Flexibility is required, as availability to work night and weekend shifts may be necessary.
Essential
- Registered with the An Bord Altranais with an Active PIN
- Post-Registration Qualification in Healthcare Management
- Previous experience supporting Older Adults with Dementia or Gerontology - 3 Years
- Previous Healthcare Management experience - 3 Years
- Valid Irish Drivers License
