Our client is looking for a Legal Disrepair Administrator to join their team on an initial 3-month period. You will be responsibility for managing the organisations litigation files within the Disrepair Litigation Service.

Duties Include:

  • Establish all new claims on the data systems, ensuring complete responses and disclosure for all new claims within the required legislative timetable.
  • Assign disrepair claims and directly instruct internal colleagues, external surveyors, solicitors, agencies, and organisations as necessary.
  • To administratively manage and document all daily communications, whether emails, telephonic, or correspondences.
  • Ensure that all internal policies and Legislative procedures related to disrepair are processed in a manner compliant with current legislation.
  • Assist the legal disrepair team leader/case handlers with internal Disrepair training for all front-line colleagues.
  • Provide direct responses, contact, advice, support, and guidance on disrepair-associated litigation to internal colleagues across the business.
  • Assist the legal disrepair team leader/case handlers in ensuring that the Specialist Disrepair Litigation Service delivers quantifiable results in compliance with the business plan.
  • Ensure the accuracy of case data and report directly to the legal disrepair team leader/case handlers on case numbers, cost analysis, sector profiling, case outcomes, and all financial matters related to the service provision

Knowledge and skills required:

  • To have a basic knowledge and understanding of relevant statutory legislation and regulatory guidance relating to obligations placed on registered providers of social housing with regards to the maintenance and repair of housing stock.
  • To have expert knowledge and understanding of the civil legal system, on all relevant civil procedure rules and statutory protocols relating to housing disrepair litigation.
  • To have an ability to understand expert legal advice and guidance and to provide the same to internal colleagues and line management across the business.
