Job Opportunity: Early Years Outreach Worker
Location: Manchester

We are currently seeking an Early Years Outreach Worker to join our passionate and committed team, delivering the Early Years Offer to families across Manchester.

As part of this vital frontline service, you will work directly with children under 5 and their families, helping to improve outcomes through a whole-family approach. You will play a key role in identifying and addressing health, education, and social needs, delivering targeted interventions and evidence-based support both in community settings and in family homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote Sure Start and early years services across the locality through community engagement and multi-agency collaboration.

  • Deliver tailored interventions to families requiring support at a universal or targeted level (level 2).

  • Carry out evidence-based assessments and track progress to demonstrate positive outcomes.

  • Facilitate and deliver high-quality group and one-to-one sessions with families.

  • Ensure safeguarding is at the heart of all work, in line with Manchester Children’s Safeguarding Board procedures.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Experienced in working with families with young children, particularly in disadvantaged communities.

  • Skilled in assessment, case recording, and outcome tracking.

  • Able to communicate effectively and empathetically with families, professionals, and community stakeholders.

  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and IT skills.

  • Committed to diversity, inclusion, and continuous service improvement.

Please note: An Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
