EHC Coordinator

Location: Ealing (Hybrid – 1 day in office or fully remote)
Contract: Initial 3-month assignment
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Pay Rate: £280 per day (via umbrella)

About the Role Ealing Council is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Education, Health and Care (EHC) Coordinator to join our SEND team on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
You will play a key role in ensuring EHC needs assessments, plans and reviews are managed efficiently, effectively and in accordance with current legislation and statutory guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the EHC assessment and planning process, ensuring compliance with the Children and Families Act 2014.
  • Work closely with children, young people and their families, ensuring their voices are central to all planning and decision-making.
  • Liaise with schools, health professionals, social care, and other stakeholders to gather and review relevant information.
  • Ensure all processes are carried out in a person-centred and timely manner, aligning with statutory timescales.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation using the Council’s case management systems.
Requirements We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
  1. Excellent knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and current/developing national policy and legislation relating to SEND.
  2. Strong ability to work in partnership with children, young people, and families—particularly those with SEND.
  3. Excellent understanding and application of person-centred thinking, approaches and planning.
